Yina discovered yoga in the mid 1990’s, but it wasn’t until 2006 when she became fully dedicated to it under the guidance of Dominique Ponko.
As a devoted and heart-centered yoga instructor, my journey into yoga began as deeply personal exploration, a way to find balance, strength and clarity. Over the years that journey evolved into a true calling. I discovered that yoga was more than just movement, it was a path toward wellness, presence and transformation.
Inspired by the peace and grounding yoga brought into my life, I became a certified teacher of Vinyasa yoga from YogaFit in 2008. I completed my RYT200 through Yoga Flow in 2010 and an additional RYT100 in 2016, and have since dedicated myself to sharing this practice with others.
I am particularly drawn to the mission on Yoga Flow Pittsburgh Wellness Center- combining mindful movement, healing and community-because it mirrors the values I bring into every class.
My teaching style is nurturing, empowering and rooted into creating space for students to reconnect with their breath, body and inner calm. Whether leading a strong vinyasa flow “keeping it simple and on the traditional side,” I aim to guide students toward self awareness and inner strength, encouraging them to carry the wisdom of the mat into their lives.
I am passionate about contributing to a space where students feel truly seen and supported in their practice. My goal is to be a positive, grounding presence in the Yoga Flow community- helping students to deepen their practice, find joy in movement, and feel more connected to themselves and those around them.
