BIO

Hello, my name is Victoria Mcwilliams. I grew up in Phoenix Arizona where I was fully immersed in the competitive dance world. I continued to study dance in College where I received my bachelors of fine arts from Point Park University. Following my graduation I traveled to Chicago where I danced professionally. This time I spent dedicated to dance taught me about movement, physicality, and the way our bodies move in accordance to our anatomy.

I was first introduced to yoga at a very young age, my aunt is a yoga instructor and I used to beg to take her class, picture an 8 year old in a room of grown women, I loved it even then! After college in 2016 is when I started to practice yoga regularly at a local studio. It was not long before I realized the incredible impact yoga had on both my mental and physical health. Having struggled with poor relationships with my body and food, I soon found that yoga gave me a new perspective on the world and my relationship to it.

I completed my 200 hour yoga certification in summer of 2019, and have been teaching in studio ever since. I have worked in humanitarian and social work where I have received many trainings in trauma informed care. I feel this approach is so important while teaching yoga and have become passionate about incorporating it into my practice. I have studied in the Spiritual Alchemy Academy where I have had the opportunity to learn about our inner workings, spiritual transformation and how we all connect to one another and the cosmos above. I graduated from Kundalini University in January 2022 where I received my 200 hour certification in Kundalini yoga. And I am currently in training to become certified in Prenatal Yoga as well.

You can expect lot’s of fun, heartfelt themes, and a good challenge when taking my classes.
