Nikki Weir is a Yoga Instructor and Level 3 Reiki healer practitioner. She began her journey to reiki through yoga in her search for natural healing. She has been practicing yoga since the age of 17, and has been drawn to nature and finding peace within herself through healing arts since childhood. She finds joy in helping others through yoga and reiki because she knows how much it has helped her own mind, body, and soul and wants to share the wonderful benefits with others.
Nikki is originally from Hermitage, Pennsylvania where she graduated from Hickory High School. She is also an alumni of Youngstown State University where she majored in biology. While attending YSU, she lost her father, who she was very close with. Healing arts and yoga helped her very much through this difficult time.
Nikki decided to study culinary arts at Le Codon Bleu Pittsburgh where she earned her pastry degree. Pastry is something she has always been passionate about as she remembers making pastries with her mother as a small child. She went on to work as a pastry chef at Westin Resort Hilton Head Island and Springfield Restaurant Group (Mercer,PA).
After having her son, Nikki felt that her love of healing arts was growing. She decided to go through a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training through Yoga Flow Pittsburgh where she was instructed by Dominique Ponko and Michelle Planert. She wanted to be able to help others through this healing art. As she was training, she discovered the healing energy of Reiki. She had never experienced anything like this before and was so excited that she had to learn more. Nikki did her Reiki Level 1, 2, and 3 training with Kathy Duffy and Janet Jackson of Energy Connection (North Huntingdon, PA). She plans on practicing Yoga and Reiki for the rest of her lifetime and continuing to learn more, so she can help others find these very special healing arts.
